Logos with the imprisoned and homeless at the BBQ :)

I have so much stuff to info you about for this coming week, it’s intense like camping AND  the circus… Whoa.
  • TODAY, Tuesday Oct. 15, LOGOS is spreading the name of Christ from 12-5pm at the Alumni Circle through More than Just a Carpenter. From LOGOS’s Facebook Event page: “For those that haven’t joined us before its a very cool and comfortable way to simply create dialogue on campus about Jesus Christ.  We offer free coffee, hot cocoa, cookies, and brownies to all passers-by.  If the people have time we ask if they are willing to take a very informal survey where we ask them what their beliefs are, whether they believe in a higher power or not and why.  As we hear their ideas and learn more about the people, this sometimes provides the opportunity to talk about Christ in a very laid back and friendly setting.” So come out and support if you can today, ’cause we all know LOGOS rocks 😉
  • THURSDAY, Oct. 17 Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM) is coming to talked to us about what they do and a program we may be able to help out with. This will be during our regular meeting time 5-6pm in room 205 of the Student Center.
  • Also on THURSDAY, we’re going to help serve the homeless with the King’s Jubilee from 8-9pm at 1801 Vine Street. www.thekingsjubilee.org Anyone coming from campus, we’ll be leaving from the Cecil B. Moore subway station at 7:30pm. **Also, another great way to serve the homeless is to provide them some free live music! So, if we have any musicians think about bringing your talent down to Vine Street 🙂
  • Finally, SUNDAY, Oct. 20 is the Northern Liberties Orthodox 2nd Annual BBQat 4th & Fairmount St. with parishioners from St. Andrew’s, St. Michael’s, St. Nicholas’s, and Holy Trinity!

Join us for the second annual pan-Orthodox picnic celebrating

the beginning of autumn with food, fun, and fellowship!

    Grilled meat is provided!

If your last name begins with

A-L: Bring a side dish to share

M-S: Bring a drink to share
